Pakistan’s mobile user base drops to 89.91 mln in December

Pakistan ended December with 89.91 million mobile phone users, down 0.6 percent compared to 90.41 million in November, according to figures from market regulator PTA. Top-ranked Mobilink’s customers fell to 28.48 million from 30.1 million. Telenor was in second place with 19.39 million customers. Ufone was ranked third with 19.3 million subscribers, followed by Warid with 16.91 million subscribers. Zong’s subscribers reached 5.50 million, while Instaphone subscribers were estimated at 321,134. Mobile teledensity dropped to 55.80 percent in December from 56.20 percent previously.
